Cover Contest Feature

I’ve decided to do a little feature for all the artists who participated in our cover contest, everyone please have a look at the work of these talented artists!
First, as requested, we will do some feedback for this artist’s cute entry! (if anyone else would like this please ask)
 


This entry was really lovely, I love soft colouring like this! The shading and highlighting is just about perfect, her hair eyes and clothes all look shiny and beautiful and her clothes especially are beautifully coloured.
A little more work on anatomy and proportions will make your art go from good to fantastic!
The perspective on the outstretched arm is pretty good, which is impressive as perspective can be very tricky! The only problem is that I feel as though her head and upper body size is not quite right. I also feel as though there should be more hair framing her face, or I should be able to see her ears.

On a slightly more personal note, I feel that the outfit is very cute but for a magical girl it’s a little bit simple. I say this because if you enter future contests (which I hope you will!!) you should try going more over the top – a magical girl’s outfit should push the limits of creativity! Ruffles and sparkles and gems everywhere! (Literally, one of ours is wearing a glitter tuxedo)
That goes for everyone reading this too; over the top! Just when you think there are enough sparkles, add more!~

Yampuff has a really cool and unique style, and has been a great supporter of our projects!
I’m really looking forward to seeing more of her artwork, especially her comics!


The detail in these pictures! Also, even though I’m a fan of anime styles, I also love this slightly more realistic style , it’s very impressive ^^

I really am a fan of pretty, soft and glowing colours, so of course I love this artist’s work! So sorry you didn’t get a place this time, but keep an eye out for our next contests, we encourage you to enter!
